Privacy Policy

Tweed is built to keep your collection and your journal on your
own device. We do not have accounts, we do not have a user database, and we do
not collect personal information about you.

What stays on your device

Your record collection, journal entries, concert logs, wants list, photos and
notes are stored locally on your device. We cannot see them. If you enable
iCloud sync, that content is stored in your own private iCloud account, which
Apple provides and we cannot access.

What we do not collect

• No account, email address, or password
• No advertising identifiers, and no advertising
• No analytics or tracking SDKs
• No sale or sharing of personal information

Permissions the app may ask for

• Camera — used only when you choose to scan a barcode or
  photograph a record cover to add it to your collection. Images are
  processed on your device.
• Photo library — used only when you choose to attach a
  photo to a journal or concert entry. The photo stays on your device.
• Location — used only when you open the nearby record
  store search, to show shops near you. Your location is used to perform
  that search and is not stored by us or associated with you.

Each permission is requested at the moment you use the feature, and the app
works without granting any of them.

Third-party services

Some features send a request to an outside service. These requests contain
only what is needed to answer them — a barcode, a search term, an album or
artist name, or an approximate location.

• MusicBrainz — provides album, artist and release
  information when you add or search for a record.

• setlist.fm — provides concert and setlist data when you

• Anthropic — generates the written liner notes for an
  album. The request contains the album and artist name and no information

• Cloudflare — we operate a small relay on Cloudflare so
  that our API credentials are not stored inside the app. Requests pass

• Apple — Apple Maps powers the nearby store search,
  the App Store handles purchases, and iCloud provides optional sync.

Purchases

Tweed Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple. We never see your
payment details. We receive only whether a purchase is active on your device.

Your data, and deleting it

Because Tweed has no accounts and no user database, there is nothing for us to
delete on your behalf. Deleting the app removes its data from your device. If
you use iCloud sync, you can remove that data from your iCloud account through
your device settings.

Children

Tweed is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect
information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the effective date above will be updated. Material
changes will be noted in the app’s release notes.
